ऋष्यशृङ्गस्य अयोध्याप्रवेशः नाम सर्ग:/ ரிஷ்யஶ்ரிங்கஸ்ய அயோத்யாப்ரவேஶ: நாம சர்கஹ/ Ṛṣyaśṛṅgasya Ayodhyāpraveśaḥ namah Sargaha 11

In this Sarga, Sumantra, recalling the ancient prophecy narrated by the sage Sanatkumara, revealed to King Daśaratha that the great ascetic Ṛśyaśṛṅga alone possessed the spiritual power necessary to fulfill his longing for progeny. Acting upon Sumantra’s counsel, the sorrowful yet resolute king journeyed to the court of Romapada and earnestly requested that Ṛśyaśṛṅga be invited to Ayodhyā. The sage consented and was received with royal honor

இந்த ஸர்கத்தில், முனிவர் சனத்குமாரர் கூறிய பண்டைய தீர்க்கதரிசனத்தை நினைவுகூர்ந்து, சுமந்திரன் அரசன் தசரதனிடம் தெரிவித்தான்: மகப்பேறு பெற வேண்டுமெனில் மகத்தான தவசியாகிய ரிஷ்யஶ்ரிங்க முனிவரின் அருள் அவசியம் என. சுமந்திரனின் ஆலோசனையை ஏற்று, மனவருத்தத்துடன் இருந்தாலும் உறுதியுடன் தசரதன் ரோமபாத அரசனை அணுகி, ரிஷ்யஶ்ரிங்கரை அயோத்திக்கு வருமாறு பணிவுடன் வேண்டினார். முனிவர் சம்மதித்து அயோத்தியில் அரச மரியாதையுடன் வரவேற்கப்பட்டார்
