ऋष्यशृङ्गोपाख्यानम् नाम सर्ग:/ருஷ்யஶ்ருங்கோபாக்யானம் நாம சர்கஹ/ ṛṣyaśṛṅgopākhyānam namah Sargaha 9
Sumantra, the trusted minister of King Daśaratha, expounds the greatness of Sage Ṛṣyaśṛṅga and earnestly urges the king to invite that venerable ascetic to preside over the proposed Vedic sacrifice; for the very advent of that sage into any realm is held to be supremely auspicious, bringing prosperity and well-being to the land and its people
தசரத மகாராஜாவின் நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய அமைச்சரான சுமந்திரர், முனிவர் ருஷ்யஶ்ருங்கரின் மகிமையை விரிவாக எடுத்துரைத்து, வரவிருக்கும் வேத யாகத்தைத் தலைமை ஏற்று நடத்துவதற்காக அந்த உயர்ந்த தவமுனிவரை அரசரால் அழைத்துவர வேண்டும் என ஆவலுடன் வலியுறுத்தினார்; ஏனெனில், அந்த முனிவரின் அடியெடுத்தே எந்த நாட்டிலும் அந்நிலமும் அந்நாட்டுமக்களும் மங்கலமும் செழிப்பும் பெறும் என்பது பழமையான நம்பிக்கையாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது
Sloka 17
| वक्ष्यन्ति चिन्तयित्वा ते तस्योपायांश्च तत्क्षमान् आनेष्यामो वयं विप्रं न च दोषो भविष्यति |
| vakṣyanti cintayitvā te tasyopāyāṃś ca tat-kṣamān āneṣyāmo vayaṃ vipraṃ na ca doṣo bhaviṣyati |
| வக்ஷ்யந்தி சிந்தயித்வா தே தஸ்யோபாயாஞ்ச தத்-க்ஷமான்: ஆனேஷ்யாமோ வயம் விப்ரம் ந ச தோஷோ பவிஷ்யதி |
| After due reflection and having devised suitable means and a proper plan, they will declare to King Romapāda: “We shall bring the Brāhmaṇa Ṛṣyaśṛṅga, and no fault or blame will arise.” |
| அரசனின் வார்த்தைகளை கேட்டதும், அவர்கள் ஆழ்ந்த கலக்கமடைந்து, முகம் தாழ்த்தியவர்களாக, முனிவர் விபண்டகரின் ஆற்றலைப் பயந்து, “நாம் செல்லமாட்டோம்” என்று கூறி அரசனை வேண்டினர். |
