Sloka 9
| तदहं यष्टुमिच्छामि शास्त्रदृष्टेन कर्मणा। कथं प्राप्स्याम्यहं कामं बुद्धिरत्र विचार्यताम्।। |
| tad ahaṃ yaṣṭum icchāmi śāstra dṛṣṭena karmaṇā kathaṃ prāpsyāmy ahaṃ kāmaṃ buddhir atra vicāryatām |
| தத் அஹம் யஷ்டும் இச்சாமி ஶாஸ்த்ர த்ருஷ்டேன கர்மணா கதம் ப்ராப்ஸ்யாம்யஹம் காமம் புத்திரத்ர விசார்யதாம் |
| I desire to perform the sacrifice in full accordance with the sacred scriptures; therefore, I ask that you deliberate well upon this matter and counsel me on how my cherished desire may be rightfully fulfilled |
| வேதசாஸ்திரங்களுக்கு முழுமையாக உட்பட்டு இந்த யாகத்தைச் செய்ய நான் விரும்புகிறேன்; ஆகையால், இந்த விஷயத்தை நன்கு ஆராய்ந்து, என் மனத்தில் உள்ள அன்பு நிறைந்த விருப்பம் எவ்வாறு முறையாக நிறைவேற முடியும் என்பதை எனக்கு அறிவுரை வழங்குங்கள். |
